I am glad to share that Humble Journey was selected as a Silver Winner in the Special Categories / Smartphone Photography category at the 2025 Budapest International Foto Awards.
This series began from daily commuting in Beijing. On a crowded train, there is rarely enough distance to make a photograph feel clean in the traditional sense. Bodies are close, light is broken, and the scene is often rough.
That is also why a phone felt like the right tool. It stays close to the texture of the moment without asking the city to become more polished than it is.
